Maggie

When we moved to the country we talked Rob into getting a dog. Rob was not a big "dog person" & did not believe in paying for a dog when you can get them for free. My dad has a Boston Terri or & I went to the Amish store to see if they had one & saw Maggie. I fell in love with her. She was a Miniature Pinscher. We had her for 6 months & it was wonderful. The only thing she did that got on my nerves was she did bark a lot when we had company over or when she saw the vacuum-I didn't like her high pitched bark.
Monday the boys wanted her to ride with me to pick them up from school. When we got home I didn't pull in the garage, so the car was only a few feet from the road. I guess Maggie jumped out of the car & ran into the road. This wouldn't have been a problem normally because we only have one person who drives down this road. Well that person was right there in the road & Maggie ran right under the car. The good thing she didn't suffer & she wasn't all bloody.
We all were soooo sad. We are going to miss her everyday.
We will get another dog. We are not sure what kind to get. I don't want a free one!! I'm leaning toward a Boston Terrier. The boys want a Blue Healer like Josh has- that thing chewed the roof off a car!

For right now we are going to have Rubin over to spend the night. I think when it gets warm we will do some puppy shopping.
Rob wants to have a little service/funeral in the back yard-I'm not real cracked up about that.....

Memorials can be made to the Maggie Hemrich Memorial Fund/i.e.$$$kelly's cash for shoppin$

Our last photo of Maggie & Garrett.

My "little brother" Rubin. He is Amish.

One of the first photos of Maggie.

We have learned a few lessions from this.
Life is precious & fleeting. Be grateful for everything you have.
We all grieve in many ways. Kade went straight to anger. Garrett had sadness & guilt.
We have a lot of love in our hearts for puppies who will love us back.

I'm sorry.

Oh Kelly... My heart aches for your family. A pet can be part of your family, but a house pet is an immediate family member. Sorry for your loss.
